Effective date: 31 May 2026
Mirror is built to be privacy-first. Your progress photos stay on your device. We collect the minimum needed to run the app, never sell your personal data, and never use your face or skin data for advertising.
When you run a skin scan, your photo is processed to estimate the appearance of your skin by our skin-analysis provider. We do not use it for facial recognition or to identify you, and we never share it with advertisers. You give explicit consent before your first scan and can delete your scans and photos at any time in the app. We keep a written retention and deletion practice for this data.
To build your routine, generate personalised insights, power the chat, track your progress, send expiry reminders, and (on the free tier) show ads. AI text features send the relevant product/profile context to Google Gemini through our secure Cloudflare server, which holds our keys; your raw photos are not sent to Gemini.
On the free tier we show ads via Google AdMob. We ask for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before any personalised advertising. If you decline, you'll see only non-personalised ads. We never use your face or skin data for ads. Premium removes ads entirely.
You can edit your profile, delete individual items, or delete all your data from within the app (Profile → Delete all my data). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data (e.g. GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us.
Mirror is intended for users 17 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region).
Photos on your device are protected by iOS encryption. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the app and delete it on request or when you delete your data.
