The short version
Mirror may earn a commission when you buy a product through a link here or in
the app. It never changes what gets recommended, or the order things appear in.
What that means in practice
- Disclosure comes first. A paid link is labelled before the
recommendation it belongs to, not in a footnote underneath it.
- Ranking is independent. Whether a product can be monetised is
stored separately from everything that decides what to suggest, and the ranking
code does not read it. It only decides whether a buy button can be shown at all.
- Own it first. If something already on your shelf does the job,
Mirror says so and recommends nothing.
- Prices are estimates. Every price is marked with a wobbly equals
sign because it is our estimate, not a live quote. The retailer sets the real price.
- No reviews are invented. Review themes are synthesised from
public sources and never presented as quotes from named people.
Current status
No retail partner is connected yet, so nothing on this site or in the app
currently earns a commission. This page exists ahead of that so the policy is
written down before there is any money involved, rather than after.
